Bathing Water Status Letter to Andy Burnham
July 2026
On 21st July 2026, the second day of Andy Burnham’s premiership, four members of Windsor RiverWatch went up to London to support Surfers Against Sewage hand in their Recreational Water Open Letter to DEFRA. With groups from Swim UK, Paddle UK and others local water users, we feel it’s important for our environment, its biodiversity and ALL water users to have, as a right, unpolluted open waters. These waters are not a litter bin for our waste, but a precious resource for all of us and future generations - please act NOW Andy.
